Emira Habiby Browne, founder and president of CIANA, an NGO actively assisting immigrants in New York City, participated on Thursday April 14 in a conference titled “Immigration: best practices for integration” organized by the US Consulate of Milan and by the ISMU Foundation, with the patronage of the Milan Province.  In her presentation Ms. Browne stressed the importance of meeting the immigrants as soon as they pass the border of the new hosting country and the fundamental role played by associations and by local administrations, once committed to shared and coordinated actions.

A small group of 2G young academicians, teaching at the prestigious Milan and Turin Politechnics, has personally demonstrated to the over 140 professionals in the audience to what extent can integration succeed also in Italy and how it can become a leading model for broader masses, striving for a better future, ready to sacrifice in order to become part of a new society.
