The U.S. Citizen Services Section at the U.S. Consulate in Milan is responsible for providing services to all Americans within its consular district, whether they are living here permanently or just visiting as tourists. These services include emergency assistance, notarials, reports of birth/death abroad, selective service registration, absentee voting, passport issuance, and more.

- Emergency Services: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM (walk-in).
- Non-Emergency Services: (e.g. renewal of U.S. passports, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad and notarials)

After Hours Emergency Services

If you are an American citizen with an after hours emergency and are within the Milan consular district, please call the switchboard at (+39) 02.290351. The Milan consular district includes the regions of Valle D'Aosta, Piemonte, Lombardia, Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Liguria, and Emilia-Romagna (Provinces of Piacenza and Parma only).
