“An honest job” Consul General Kyle Scott assisted sailors with the cleanup of the park at Villa Luxoro in Nervi
Genoa, March 26, 2013 -- Consul General Kyle Scott assisted the sailors of the USS Mount Whitney, at anchor in Genoa, with the cleanup of the park at Villa Luxoro in Nervi. The Consul General stated, “It is a tradition for [U.S.] sailors to do community service activities in the ports where they stop, and in Genoa they feel welcome.”

Ambassador Thorne Drives Chevy Volt in Area C
Milan, November 29, 2012 -- During his visit to Milan the U.S. Ambassador David Thorne personally test drove a Chevrolet Volt on the way to his meeting with Mayor Pisapia to promote U.S. exports and green technologies. Ansa published an article highlighting the Ambassador’s initiative, and the article noted that the Ambassador, by driving an electric vehicle, avoided the emission of more than 500 grams of carbon dioxide.

Milan, November 7 -- More than 2,000 guests joined the Election Night celebration in Milan to watch the US Presidential Elections. The event was organized by the Consulate General and Easy Milano, and received the patronage of the Region, Province, Comune, and American Chamber of Commerce.
